All four songs for my upcoming EP are complete on my personal home studio (24 - track Tascam). This includes all piano, drums, and vocals. I will be sending the songs to Erik Swanson (bass) and Dave Bowers (guitar) next week. From there they will add their parts to all four songs. The final step starts mid January at Studio Ballistico! :~)

Four songs are complete on piano! These four, untitled songs are phase one of several I will be executing over the next month or two on my 16-track Tascam (phase 2 = drums, phase 3 = lyrics, phase 4 = vocals). I am planning to record at Studio Ballistico in January 2009 and would like to have this 4-song EP completed by March 2009. I will keep you posted! :~)

A heart-felt "Thank you" to all who have downloaded my latest full-length "Weight of the Words"! And a heart-felt "Thank you" to those that will! I am still setting my sites on April '09 for my next full-length release. Not sure yet on who will be playing it on it other than myself at this point. I am still writing like crazy and would like to have more lyric content and less instrumental on the next one, but that really isn't up to me entirely.

7.10.2008
And the songs just keep on coming! Since the completion of Weight Of The Words I have finished 4 new songs on piano. I will be adding vocals and drums in the weeks to come. I am planning an April '09 full length release (13 or so songs).

6.2.2008
Now that my latest CD Weight Of The Words is out there on the web for FREE, I now have more time to work on more music. I have three tunes nearing completion (keyboards), and will be writing a whole bunch more in the weeks, months and years to come. I was thinking of releasing another EP in November, but believe that, perhaps, another full-length should be attempted instead for next winter ('09). No shows planned. I am not into playing out at this point in time (played out for over 10 years as a drummer, backup singer prior to writing my own music). I just want to get the music out there as much as humanly possible. Then, perhaps some shows :~)

3.29.2008
Just a couple more weeks and Tim and I will have this bad boy up and ready to fly! It looks as though "Weight Of The Words" will be out the second week in April. Hang in there!

3.5.2008
I am several steps closer to my first full-length (no title as of yet). All guitar, bass, keyboards and drum parts are complete. I have finished all vocals. Now it is just a matter of mixing all the many layers down on not only the new six, but the older songs as well. Erik Swanson has redone the bass parts on "Off Purpose". Tim and I have created the non-electric snare version of "Throw It Away" (Niche In Time) as well. Plan for the release mid to late March '08.

2.3.2008
Things are moving along well at Studio Ballistico! Erik Swanson (bass) and David Bowers (guitar) are rapidly approaching completion on the 6 new songs. Pictures will be posted when the full-length ("Off Purpose" and "Niche In Time" combined with 6 brand new songs) CD\mp3's are complete. YouTube video will come out some time in late March.

1.16.2008
I am currently at Ballistico working on six of the 13 songs for my next full - length. All drum parts are complete. I laid down a new, acoustic snare for "Throw It Away". All keyboard parts (mostly vintage keys I might add) are complete for the new songs. I have finished laying the lyric lines down as well making the past weekend quite a productive one! Erik, weather permitting, will be in tomorrow night to lay down bass lines for 9 songs ("Forever Today", "Veil", "Violet And Blue"), as well as the six new tunes. David is the latest addition to the never ending musical experiment. He will be laying down electric guitar on all six new songs. The new full - length will be comprised of both EP's ("Forever Today" and "Niche In Time" [some songs with new bass lines. Acoustic snare added to "Throw It Away".] along with 6 new songs (3 vocal, 3 instrumental). I plan on releasing the cd \mp3's mid to late February 2008. I also will be making my debut on YouTube using video from various studio sessions this year.

12.14.2007
The line up is complete! On electric guitar will be Dave (last name withheld until I get his consent. Differnet from Dave on "Niche In Time"), Erik Swanson on basses of all sizes and types, Tim Sandusky (StudioBallistico) as senior engineer, and me on the drums, keyboards and all vocals. Recording will commence mid January. The full-length will be available late February '08. No title as of yet. Six new songs (3 will be instrumental), will be combined with "Off Purpose" and "Niche In Time" to make a monstrous, 13 - song full - length cd! More to come.......

Bob Baker returns the favor! I am one of the many thanked by Bob during his fruitful visit to Chicago. Bob was also kind enough to put my face-to-face interview on YouTube. Here I explain how incredibly valuable Bob Baker's "7 Secrets to Low-Cost Music Promotion" really is! I highly recommend it to all you aspiring musicians out there dying to get your stuff heard! Once again, a heart-felt thank you to Bob Baker, his wife Pooki as well all the other monumental musical mentors! This is a new age! An independent music revolution of sorts! Come aboard and ride!!!

A big THANK YOU goes out to Derek Sivers (founder and president of CD Baby) for informing hundreds of Chicago musicians about Bob Baker's "7 Secrets to Low-Cost Music Promotion" workshop which occurred today at the Chicago Actor's Studio. A big THANK YOU to Bob Baker as well! I had a great time and learned a great deal about how to further promote my music. Keep your eyes glued to this site in the weeks to come. I will be promoting tshirts, mugs and other cool stuff!

Four new songs have become five! My Tascam now has within its hard drive 5 songs (keyboards only). Two of the five are looking like instrumentals. All were written on the PC1x using vintage keyboards. Next weekend will give me the time I need to add all drums and vocals. From there I will polish each song's arrangements. Then it is off to Studio Ballistico in January 2008.

I was recently interviewed by Alex Ness. This interview will be available later this month on Pop Thought.

"Burning" is currenlty being considered for the Songs For A Better Planet - Volume IIIcontest. So far so good! Wish me luck!
